Growing in Confidence. Learning Together. Preparing for What's Next.
The Junior High experience at St. Agnes Academy–St. Dominic School offers a distinctive approach to education for students in grades seven and eight. While maintaining the traditions and identities of our two schools, Junior High students come together in a coeducational academic environment that encourages collaboration, independence, and an appreciation for different perspectives.
Our challenging Catholic curriculum builds on the strong academic foundations established in Lower School while preparing students for the increased expectations of high school. Through engaging classroom experiences, meaningful relationships, and opportunities for leadership and service, students develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and greater responsibility for their learning.
A rotating block schedule provides extended class periods for deeper exploration, hands-on learning, and meaningful discussion. Built-in flex periods offer time for academic support, enrichment, independent study, and completing assignments.
Beyond the classroom, students discover and develop their interests through athletics, performing and visual arts, academic competitions, student leadership, service opportunities, and cultural experiences. These experiences encourage students to explore their talents, build friendships, and grow as thoughtful, responsible members of their communities.
At St. Agnes Academy–St. Dominic School, Junior High is a time of discovery, growth, and preparation—helping students develop the knowledge, character, and confidence to succeed in high school and beyond.
"At the Dominican Community of Schools our Jr. High students are given the freedom to explore their own learning style and become independent learners.
