05 Mar, 2025
St. Agnes Academy is pleased to announce that Ms. Kirsten Hipkins will join our staff as the next Varsity Volleyball Coach for the SAA Stars.
Coach Hipkins brings extensive experience as both a player and a coach. A lifelong Memphian, she began playing volleyball in middle school and passionately pursued the sport as a collegiate athlete. She has coached for eight years at Memphis Metro Volleyball where she is now a Master Coach.
“Along with a deep love for and knowledge of the sport, Coach Hipkins has a clear understanding of talent development and the need for establishing a strong team dynamic,” said Matt Nelson, SAA-SDS Athletic Director. “Her emphasis on teamwork, discipline, and perseverance will help our athletes achieve their potential. I look forward to watching our Stars compete under her leadership.”
Ms. Hipkins has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri. She currently serves as the Director of Coordinated Entry at Community Alliance for the Homeless.
“Volleyball has brought me so much joy and has played a significant role in forming who I am today,” said Coach Hipkins. “I hope to provide that same experience for our athletes, helping them develop into young women who are not only successful on the court, but prepared for whatever path they choose.”
