Our St. Agnes Engineering Class students placed first, second and third at the Civil Engineering Competition hosted by CBU! The competition, which encourages students to help "build a better future," is divided into three skill areas.
Our students participated in the Water Filtration area of the competition. The objective of this competition was to design and build a model filter to reduce the turbidity (cloudiness) of source water as much as possible and as quickly as possible.
The students designed and built their filters in class, and then tested them in front the judges, CBU’s renowned engineering professors.
Congratulations to these teams on their success:
First Place: Melia Bishop, Dayana Torres, Annaliese Hammack
Second Place: Haley Howard, Mirna Martinez, Melissa Meliton Gudino
Third Place: Mary Ann Shearin, Aubrey Messer, Ava Trainor
