It's time to fall back into the theatre with the first show of the 2025-2026 St. Agnes Academy theatre season!  Cobweb Dreams, which opens this Thursday night, is a wonderfully written show by Lindsay Price, inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Modeled after Shakespeare in the Park productions, our director Mrs. Gabby Morris (’15) decided to do an outdoor performance, which will make Cobweb Dreams the first ever outdoor performance at St. Agnes Academy.

In this story, we meet the main character Cobweb who is funny, clumsy, and mischievous. She has a feeling she just doesn't belong amongst Titania’s fairies, and believes her best fit could be in Oberon’s train. Will Cobweb listen to her friends and stay with Titania? Will she finally find where she belongs with Oberon? What choice will she make? The only way to find out is to see this spectacular show!

I am playing the role of Moth, a fairy-in-waiting, so I have had a chance to work with this truly amazing cast that makes the show feel complete. Every rehearsal is filled with smiles, laughter, and excitement, and we would love for you to be a part of it by coming to see us! My experience being a part of this production has truly been amazing, and I am so blessed to have this opportunity. Mrs. Morris and Ms. Amelia Hopper (‘19) have done an incredible job bringing this show to life and supporting all the cast in every way they can.

Seating for this show is provided, but if you want to bring your own seating, such as a picnic blanket or a lawn chair, you are more than welcome to do so. You can also bring snacks and make the whole experience a picnic for you, your family, and friends. The element of the outdoors brings more magic to the performance.

For SAA students, the Theatre Department is more than a place where we put on performances for others to see, it is a family and a place where we build connections that will last a lifetime, while doing something we all enjoy. So, come be a part of our “family” by seeing this amazing outdoor production with your family and friends. Shows will take place at the outdoor Amphitheater at 7:00 p.m. nightly, October 16-18. Our rain location is the Hook Theatre. Buy your tickets online now or buy them at the door. We cannot wait to see you there!
