Lower School SGA Executive Council Has Been Elected!

17 Sep, 2025
Congratulations to the newly elected Lower School Student Government Association (SGA) Executive Council who will serve as student leaders helping guide school initiatives throughout the year. The SGA Executive Council is a unique opportunity that imparts real-world skills to our students. Those skills include planning, prioritizing, budgeting, human resource management, and time management, as well as learning to effectively communicate with peers, faculty, and staff in our SAA-SDS school community.
Faculty Advisor Amy Cluck explained the role of the organization: “The SGA is a student-led organization comprised of individuals who are elected by their junior high peers based on their exemplary leadership skills and strength of character. SGA builds a sense of school community throughout the year with acts of service, engagement, and involvement.”
Each elected member of the SGA Executive Council signs a contract agreeing to the established guidelines:
- Adherence to all school rules included in the Junior High Handbook, Honor Code, uniform policy, attendance, and our Justice, Respect, and Peace Program (JRP).
- Setting an exemplary behavior example for our SAA - SDS school community to use as a guideline for being an SGA Executive Council member as well as a St. Agnes Star and/or St. Dominic Sun mascot.
- Maintaining Quarterly maintenance of a 3.0 GPA and no more than 3 demerits.
- Making ongoing efforts to remain in good academic standing with strong attendance and minimal tardies and early dismissals.
- Participating in all SGA school community fundraisers and all SGA-sponsored activities.
We look forward to the energy and spirit these student leaders will bring to our Stars and Suns this year.
