Twenty-seven members of the 2025 SAA 8th grade class and 18 members of the 2025 SDS 8th grade class have been recognized by the newly launched PreACT Rising Stars program. This initiative honors students who scored in the top half of all U.S. students who took the PreACT 8/9 Assessment during the 2024-2025 academic year.
The exam provides a preview of the ACT test experience, along with a highly reliable prediction of how students might perform in the future on the ACT. Three award categories were established in the program’s inaugural year: Distinguished Scholars (representing the top 5% of student scores), Rising Scholars (the next 10% student scores) and Early Scholars (the next 35% of student scores).
