Artists Earn High Honors at Scholastic Art Awards

St. Agnes junior Ruth Ellen Berry earned a Gold Key Award for her artwork, Dessert Reflected, in watercolor.

St. Agnes artists were honored for their talents in the annual Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards.  St. Agnes  students received 17 awards this year including multiple Gold and Silver Keys. All artwork earning Gold Key recognition advances to the National Scholastic Competition in New York.

The Scholastic Art Awards is an annual juried student art exhibition presented by the Brooks Museum League and the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. It is an affiliate of the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.  Our local exhibition recognizes outstanding achievements of students in grades 7 through 12.  

The following awards were presented:

SA12th Grade: Lucy Brennan – Gold Key and Honorable Mention; Caroline Cianciola – Silver Key and Honorable Mention; Lily Montague – Honorable Mention; Rachel VanHorn – Honorable Mention.

SA11th Grade: Haley Andre –  Silver Key and  Honorable Mention; Ruth Ellen Berry – Gold Key and 2 Honorable Mentions; Kallie Cremerius – Honorable Mention; Emily Harris –  Honorable Mention; Phoebe Jarvis – Honorable Mention; Anna Grace Palmer – Honorable Mention; Eliza White – Silver Key.

SA10th Grade: Mary Hunter Adair – Silver Key.
