Four outstanding women were honored during the St. Agnes Academy 23rd Annual Outstanding Alumnae Hall of Fame ceremony on January 26. The 2024 inductees, Dr. Margarita Lamothe, ’71, Mig Tonning Williams, ’76, Beth Weems Bradley, ’80 and Ann Neal, SAA Fine Arts Department Chair and Theatre Director,  have each gone above and beyond to make a difference in her community.

The St. Agnes Academy Outstanding Alumnae Hall of Fame was established in 2001 on the school's 150th anniversary. The Hall of Fame honors those exceptional individuals who command respect within their careers, civic, or charitable endeavors, and are devoted to the mission of St. Agnes Academy. 

Dr. Margarita Lamothe ‘71

Born in Pinar del Rio Cuba, Dr. Margarita Lamothe came to the United States when she was only a nine-year-old child fleeing Communism in Cuba. She moved to Memphis in 1968 enrolling at St. Agnes Academy as a sophomore.  She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Rhodes College. She attended NYU in Madrid, Spain where she earned an M.A. in Spanish Literature and later graduated from medical school at Complutense University ofMadrid. Upon returning to the United States, she completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine followed by a Fellowship in Infectious Disease. 

Dr. Lamothe is an infectious disease specialist affiliated with Consolidated Medical Practices of Memphis. In this role, Margarita is consulted by multiple health systems in the area, including Baptist Memorial, Methodist-LeBonheur and St. Francis. She is a Fellow for the American College of Physicians as well as a member of the Memphis and Shelby County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association, and the Infectious Disease Society.

Mig Tonning Williams ‘76

Mig attended the University of Memphis where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree and lettered in golf. After a successful career in marketing and advertising, Mig moved from the corporate world to the “stay at home/home schooling mom” world. As a home school mom, she was President of the Memphis Catholic Home School Group and served on the board of the Memphis Home Education Association. In 2007, Mig began her career as a licensed Realtor with Crye-Leike, achieving Multi-Million Dollar status only two years later. She is a lifetime member of the MMDC and a past president. She has authored two books, Outrageously Happy! Trade Secrets for Selling Your House and The Value Driven Approach to Sell Real Estate.

Outside of her real estate career, Mig served as the Director for the West Tennessee Region of The International Dyslexia Association and as President of the Dreamers Give Back Foundation. She is a member of the Legion of Mary and Madonna Circle. She and her husband Adam have two children, Avery and Alexis.

Beth Weems Bradley ‘80

Beth Weems Bradley attended Vanderbilt University where she earned a B.A. in French and English and a J.D from Vanderbilt School of Law.  Beth has practiced for 35 years as a probate attorney at Burch, Porter & Johnson. She is a frequent speaker at seminars and has authored numerous articles on probate related matters. She is one of three probate lawyers representing West Tennessee on a committee that proposes new probate legislation. Additionally, she is often appointed by the court to serve as guardian ad litem representing the interests of vulnerable individuals with disabilities. 

Beth recently completed a two-year term as President of the Memphis Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the local Bar Association. She is a member of the St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School Board of Trustees serving as chair of the Trustee Governance Committee. Beth is a long-time volunteer with the Blessings Special Needs ministry at Christ Church. 

She and her husband Bill have two daughters, Kathryn and Maggie (’14).

Ann Neal

Ann Neal joined the St. Agnes Academy Upper School faculty in 2003 and has served as Chair of the Fine Arts Department for 18 years. During her tenure she has taught every grade on campus, and the Theatre Department has flourished. On a daily basis her enthusiasm, support, and hard work demonstrate her extreme love for St. Agnes Academy. She directs at least three productions every year and recently completed Upper School play #55. Under her guidance the SAA theatre group has been nominated in two or more categories in every Orpheum High School Musical Awards adjudication, including two for Best Overall Performance. Ann received the St. Cecelia Award, the Marian Swicker Chair of Excellence Award, and the Albertus Magnus Award in recognition of her outstanding performance as an educator.

Prior to joining the SAA-SDS faculty Ann taught at Fayette Academy where she started the drama program. She also taught at Woodland Presbyterian School, Memphis Prep and Leland High School.  She and her husband Mike have one daughter, Mackenzie, and grandson Declan who is a St. Dominic Sun.
