Upper School Athletic Awards 2026

It's been an outstanding year in sports for our Upper School Stars! We recently gathered to celebrate our Upper School athletes and coaches for their dedication and their accomplishments during the 2025-2026 school year. We are proud of these Stars and their coaches for a stellar year of competition and sportsmanship!
The following students were recognized at the Upper School Athletic Awards Ceremony with the Athletic Department Special Awards:
Barbara H. Daush Above and Beyond Award: Anna Fox, Class of 2026
This award is given to an athlete who exemplifies a competitive spirit, and through leadership and example, inspires others to work for excellence.
Elizabeth Ehrlicher Commitment to Excellence Award: Scarlet Malone, Class of 2029
This award is given to a student-athlete who has excelled in one or multiple sports and is a member of the freshman class.
Marian Swicker Academic Award: Anna Wilson, Class of 2027
This award is given to a junior or senior athlete with the highest GPA while participating in multiple sports.
The James Lassandrello Pursuit of Excellence Award: Olivia Perrone, Class of 2028
This award is given to an Upper School athlete who pursues athletic excellence in multiple sports.
“PEP” Marquette-Stalm Athlete of the Year Award: Claire Wetick, Class of 2027
This is highest and most coveted award given by the Athletic Department to a junior or senior participating in one or multiple sports at St. Agnes Academy.
Miss Marquette, a graduate of SAA, distinguished herself in our community as an outstanding sportswoman.
The recipient of this award must embody the qualities of scholarship, character, and unusual dedication and loyalty to the St. Agnes Athletic Program.
Our Scholar Athletes were also recognized during the ceremony. These scholar athletes have participated in at least two sports and maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

A special moment was taken to award the James W. Mathis Coaching Excellence Award to none other than Jim’s son, Jay Mathis. This award is given annually to a coach who exemplifies coaching excellence and the values of the St. Agnes Academy Athletic Department. Congratulations to Coach Jay!
