Start your new year off right with an evening of theatre! The St. Agnes Academy Upper School Theatre Department invites you to lend your detective skills to Todd Wallinger’s hilariously witty whodunit, The Butler Did It!, opening tomorrow and running through January 17.

In this play, suspicions arise at Bournsley Manor as evidence points to the Covington family’s beloved butler, Jenkins, when a shocking murder occurs in the home. With all eyes on Jenkins, the audience must help uncover the truth behind the mystery: Did the butler really do it?

St. Agnes senior Kalleigh Boswell, who plays Jenkins the Butler shared with us, “I am super excited to be the lead role in this play and for the audience to see what everyone has been working on so hard. People should come see this show because it is a funny, entertaining show for all ages--and to support the Theatre Department!” This is Kalleigh’s eighth production with the SAA Theatre Department, participating as a performer and a member of the tech crew.

Fellow senior, Giselle Ruiz, describes her character, Edwina Corry, as “the world's greatest mystery author who is an old schoolmate of Lady Miranda and can be quite intimidating.”

“I am excited to be a part of a comedic, murder mystery as this will be the last play that I get to be a part of for my senior year,” said Giselle. “Working with this incredible cast has been amazing and comforting! But, I am most excited for everyone to come see this play because the crew, directors, and cast have put so much work in the making of the show.

“People should come and see the show because it is a great way to relax and have a good laugh with friends! This play will have people on their toes as the audience becomes the investigator in this intricate murder mystery, which I think is really fun to watch,” she added. Giselle has participated in six productions with our Theatre Department, both as a performer and a member of the tech crew.

Performances are in the Hook Theatre in Siena Hall on the St. Agnes-St. Dominic campus. Show times are at 7:00 p.m. January 15, 16 and 17. Tickets are $10.00.
