St. Agnes Students Earn Distinction as AP Scholars

Twenty-eight St. Agnes Academy students have earned Advanced Placement Scholar distinction for their outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP exams for the 2018 testing period. Mary Wilson Screws, Class of 2019, earned perfect scores of five on all five of the AP exams she took.
St. Agnes Academy regularly offers Advanced Placement courses in American Government and Politics, Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Psychology, Spanish, Statistics, Studio Art, United States History, World History and World Literature and Composition. Each year, the AP program recognizes students who have performed exceptionally well on AP examinations. Congratulations to the following St. Agnes students:
AP Scholar with Distinction (granted to students who received an average score of at least 3.5 on AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams):
(Class of 2018) Sophia Buffalino – University of Virginia, Abby Clark – University of Alabama Honors College, Bridget Dockery – Thomas Aquinas College, Caroline Melancon – University of Notre Dame, Lauren Ryan – Clark Atlanta University Honors Program, and Abby Sellers – Texas Christian University Honors Program;(Class of 2019): Katie Mae Ryan, Mary Wilson Screws and Valerie Williams.
AP Scholar with Honor (granted to students who received scores of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams):
(Class of 2018) Lauren Bean – Tulane University Honors Program, Jordan Cardell – University of Memphis Honors College and special theatre program, Maddie-Grace Dubard – University of Mississippi Honors College, Amelia Hancock – DePaul University, Kendall Stallings – Sewanee, the University of the South, Emma Wood – University of Alabama Honors College; (Class of 2019) Kayla Cochran, Leah Flettrich, Talia Shadroui and Abby Williams.
