Friday Thank Yous at St. Dominic School

A new tradition takes hold at St. Dominic. Each Friday at 2:50 pm, students and faculty from grades 1-6 gather to offer “Friday Thank Yous.” Instilling a sense of gratitude among the SDS community has been a major focus this year.

“Our time of thanks begins with words of welcome and reminds everyone of the wonderful week of exploration and learning they have experienced,” says Dean Chris Burke. “It is good to go through life with a healthy sense of thankfulness. I believe thankfulness, not guilt, can guide us to become a more compassionate people and community.”
