Welcome to St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
I hope you will enjoy reading about our 156-year history, mission, philosophy, and guidelines. We are a unique school, offering coeducational classes in the preschool, single gender classes in the lower grades, coeducational classes in the junior high, and single-gender classes in the upper grades. Blending what we know about brain-based learning and the different developmental needs of boys and girls with a deep devotion to the Catholic faith makes the St. Agnes - St. Dominic experience unique as well.

We believe that our program empowers a child to make the world a better place by providing training in leadership and service within the framework of a rigorous academic program. I hope you will let us hear from you if you wish to learn more about us. We are growing our enrollment in grades 5-8, and we are anxiously awaiting the opening of two new buildings on campus in 2008: a new Research Center and Early Childhood Center. Additionally, some existing spaces will be renovated including St. Dominic School. These enhancements are being made as part of our $20 million "Reaching For The Stars and Suns Campaign" which will provide $10 million for capital improvements and $10 million for endowment. We are fortunate to have a visionary Board of Trustees, supportive alumnae/i and former and current parents, all of whom have sacrificed to make these dreams become realities. All of these blessings are results of hard work and perseverance begun by the Dominican Sisters of St. Catharine, Kentucky, who prepared the way for us many years ago.

We rest upon the four pillars of Dominican charism, which have carried us through these many years: prayer, service, study, and community. I hope you will visit us and let us tell you all about our School!
