Club was founded to raise artistic awareness and appreciation throughout the school and the community. Events include mural painting, and regular trips to museums. Requirements include an interest in the arts. Dues are $2. Biology Club was created to encourage student involvement in volunteer work with animals. The club sponsors zoo trips as well as nature center visits. Dues are $5. Calliope creates an award-winning art and literary magazine celebrating the artistic and writing talents of St. Agnes students. Events include Spotlight Day on Halloween and Layout in March. No dues. Dominican Preaching Wonders was created to promote Dominican Awareness throughout the school and to advocate and uphold good values as St Agnes students. Annual events include drives for the needy, the "Caught in the Act of Preaching" award and the posting of signs and prayers. No dues. Drama Club was organized to bring awareness of the performing arts to St Agnes students. Events include the SAA Drama Queen contest, a talent show, and field trips to see play productions. Dues are $5. Ecology Club was founded to raise the awareness of environmental issues, to donate money to worthy causes, and to keep the gardens in pristine condition. Events include adopting an animal and annual drives for ecological awareness. Dues are $3. French Club was created to teach its members more about French language and culture and to help them enjoy it. Must be a present or former student of French, and events include the Cajun trip and International Week. Dues are $3. Key Club is an organization centered on providing the community with service, and building the character and leadership of its members. Events include the Enchanted Forest, Maternal League Fashion Show, Arts in the Park, and the Ducks Unlimited Festival. Dues are $12. Mu AlphaTheta was created to promote fun and interesting ways to learn more about math. Events include Pi Day and the Regional Math Contest. Dues include a one-time fee of $7 for Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society members and none for club members. National Honor Society was created to honor those who have excelled in the school and community. Inductions are for seniors only at the beginning of the school year. Requirements include a 3.75GPA and an essay on scholarship, leadership, and service. National French Honor Society was created to honor those students who have excelled in the French language and met the academic requirements necessary. Students are eligible second semester sophomore year. There are no dues. National Spanish Honor Society was created to honor those students who have excelled in the Spanish language and met the academic requirements necessary. Students are eligible second semester sophomore year. There are no dues. Pep Club was founded to foster school spirit for various activities such as athletic events, fundraisers and the performing arts. Activities include Spirit Week, Star Wars, and the Polar Bear Plunge. Dues are $5. SADD Students Against Drunk Driving was created to spread the awareness of the consequences of drunk driving and other destructive decisions. Events include Prom Promise, Grim Reaper Day, and Red Ribbon Day. Dues are $3. Spanish Club provides service to Hispanic communities and a school-wide awareness of Hispanic Culture. Events include fundraisers, various volunteer opportunities, and tutoring English as a second language. Dues are $2. Starlettes was formed for students who enjoy musical performances. The club practices once a week after school and is open to all students. They sing at mass and other school functions, and have two performances a year. There are no dues. STAY Start Thinking About Yourself was founded to bring awareness to the students about the risks of premarital sex, STD’s, and drug use. Events include information seminars on the safety of high school students. Dues are $1. Student Ambassadors represent St Agnes as leaders of the school. Events include FedEx Leadership Training, the freshman lock-in, hosting open house, and service projects once a semester. Requirements include applications to be turned in during the junior year, and the commitment to attend the leadership training seminar during the summer. Members are chosen by committee. Yoga Club was created to relax students and help them to find their focus during stressful times with the art of Yoga. Dues are $1. |
