Varsity Tennis
TSSAA Spring Season Sport
Varsity Coach: Carla Brangenberg
Middle School Coach: Mary Jane Schifani
The St. Agnes Tennis team is a program that dedicates itself to the development of the total student-athlete. Both the physical and psychological growth of each girl is conscientiously considered when planning, training, and playing our season. In a sport that is traditionally an individual sport, we stress the social aspect of being able to work as a member of a team.
Students are given the opportunity through hours of individual and team practice, inter-squad and intra-squad match play, and extensive personal training to reach their maximum potential, athletically, if they dedicate themselves to our tennis program. The St. Agnes Varsity tennis team has produced many championship players at the regional, state, and collegiate levels. Our goal is to produce young women of exceptional character, tennis players who have the capacity to compete not only in tennis for St. Agnes but to be successful citizens in our highly competitive society.
2008 Accomplishments

The Varsity Tennis Team had several notable victories at the local level, and finished the year by qualifying for the State Tournament in both team and individual competition.
Middle School Tennis
Middle School tennis is offered to our students in the 7th & 8th grades. We offer team practices and interscholastic play during the spring season, and we encourage our players to participate in outside instruction to hone their individual skills.
