General Information
Bowling is played in the late fall, and concludes before exams in December for grades 9 –12.  The STARS home lanes are at Imperial at 4700 Summer Ave. Anyone interested in Bowling in the Fall of ’08 should attend the Spring open-play session on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Imperial Lanes from 3:45-5:00 PM.  You do not have to be a good bowler, already, to try-out.  New bowlers will receive personalized instruction and can improve their skill level quickly depending on the individual. This is a competitive team. Bowling sessions will continue during the summer for those who are serious about making the team, with allowances for vacation.  Try-outs are usually the week after Labor Day with practice 3 or 4 times a week.  The season begins the first week after Labor Day with practice or matches 3 or 4 times a week.  The state tournament is the last week in January.  If you are interested in trying out for the team or need further information, please e-mail Carolyn Adcock.

07-08 Accomplishments
Finished 3rd in the region and qualified to go to the State tournament.
Faye Rosenberg bowled in the state Individual tournament and was a 6th place medalist.

06-07 Accomplishments
Regional runner-up and came in 3rd at the State tournament.
Amy Jones was in the individual state tournament and finished 10th.  She was selected for the Commercial Appeal’s  “Best of the Preps”.
