The
Middle Years
We offer an academic program in the junior
high school that is challenging, yet well suited to the developmental needs
of early adolescence. The main aim of the curriculum is to develop the ability
to think and learn, by placing emphasis on three areas: (1) Assuring command of basic skills (2) Promoting good work habits (3) Encouraging students to analyze and synthesize-- to "take apart
and put back together." Because of the critical developmental needs of this age group a wide selection
of activities is available to encourage participation, creativity, and a
sense of shared accomplishment. Students participate in both group and individual
activities, sports, daily chapel services, and community service. Download 2011-2012 Handbook
